Associated British Ports (ABP), Britain’s biggest port operator, launched its Annual Review 2018/19 in parliament last week, at an exclusive lunch event hosted by Royston Smith, MP for Southampton, Itchen.
Attending the event, Shipping Minister Nusrat Ghani MP, gave a keynote speech recognising ABP’s achievements during the year and discussing some of the key themes driving the Maritime sector in the years to come, including diversity, sustainability and technological innovation. Ms Ghani also outlined her department’s Maritime 2050 campaign, which will draw the sector together to help future-proof the industry.
Henrik Pedersen, ABP’s Chief Executive Officer, also gave a speech where he thanked the Minister for her support and spoke of ABP’s ongoing commitment to investing in its people and its infrastructure, to continue offering the best services available for customers.
This year ABP’s Annual Review was made available via a limited print run and a cutting-edge, fully interactive digital version. This is a first for the company and reflects ABP’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, reducing the amount of paper used in the production of the review.
