“Air particulate samples have confirmed air quality is within safe levels and once all the remaining hydrochloric acid from the leaking tanks has been removed then the exclusion zone within the port will be lifted and normal service will be resumed. This is expected to be within matter of hours.
“We can confirm that eight people reported signs of feeling unwell as a result of this incident. Four were assessed at the scene and discharge immediately, four were taken to hospital for further assessment. All have now been discharged and are showing no further symptoms.
“We will provide a further update once the exclusion zone within the port has been lifted.”
